The ReCollective offers subscription-based recycling, reuse, and composting services.

2. Eligibility

To use The ReCollective’s Service, you must be at least 18 years of age and reside or operate a business in our service area, which includes Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, and other areas within the Triangle, NC. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when subscribing to our Service.

3. Subscription Plans

The ReCollective offers different subscription tiers to fit your recycling and composting needs.

You may review and modify your subscription plan through your online account at any time.

4. Billing and Payment

• Billing Cycle: Subscription fees are charged on a recurring basis, depending on your chosen plan (monthly or annually).
• Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards and other payment methods available on the website. By providing payment details, you authorize The ReCollective to charge your selected payment method for subscription fees and additional services.
• Non-Payment: In the event of a declined payment, The ReCollective reserves the right to suspend your service until the payment issue is resolved.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account. Upon cancellation, you will continue to receive the Service until the end of the current billing cycle. Refunds for partial months are not issued.
• Refunds: Refunds are available only in the case of billing errors or if The ReCollective is unable to provide service.

6. Accepted Materials

The ReCollective collects a wide range of recyclable and compostable materials. 

You are responsible for ensuring that the materials you provide are clean, free of contamination, and sorted according to the guidelines listed on our website. The ReCollective reserves the right to refuse materials that:

• Contain hazardous substances.
• Are contaminated with food waste (in the case of recycling).
• Pose health or safety risks to our employees.

7. Pickup Schedule and Service Modifications

• Pickup Schedule: The ReCollective operates on a schedule based on your plan type, with specific days assigned to different areas. You must place your materials out for pickup by the designated time on the assigned day. Missed pickups due to late placement are not eligible for rescheduling without an additional fee.
• Service Modifications: The ReCollective reserves the right to modify its Service, including the materials we collect and the pricing of subscription plans. We will notify you of any significant changes via email or through your online account.

8. Customer Conduct

By using The ReCollective, you agree to:

• Proper Material Handling: Ensure that all materials are properly sorted and prepared for pickup according to our guidelines.
• Respect for Employees: Treat our drivers and staff with courtesy and respect. Any inappropriate behavior or abuse will result in suspension or termination of service.
• Safe Pickup Locations: Ensure that your materials are placed in a safe, accessible location that does not obstruct sidewalks or create a safety hazard. Materials should be easily visible from the street or driveway. 

9. Liability and Disclaimer

• No Guarantees: The ReCollective makes reasonable efforts to recycle or reuse collected materials but does not guarantee that all materials will be processed as expected. Some materials may be rejected by our partners or disposed of if no suitable reuse or recycling option is available.
• Liability Cap: The ReCollective’s total liability to you for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• No Indirect Damages: The ReCollective is not responsible for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Privacy Policy

The ReCollective is committed to protecting your privacy. Please review our Privacy Policy, which governs how we collect, use, and disclose personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

The ReCollective reserves the right to suspend or terminate your subscription at any time for violations of these Terms, failure to make payments, or conduct that is detrimental to the company or other customers.

The ReCollective may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes via email or through your account or by posting on our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
