Where Does Your ReCollected Stuff Go?
ReCo is more than recycling! Our circular economy looks first to reuse or reimagine the stuff you no longer need, then to recycle everything else.

More recycling. Less trash. Happier households.
ReCo members appreciate the convenience, reliable pickups, and confidence that their hard-to-recycle materials are going to responsible next steps.
Less landfill waste
“We’ve SIGNIFICANTLY reduced our waste to the local landfill and only need to roll our trash bin to the curb one or twice a month now.”
No more drop-off trips
“I love The Recollective! They make recycling so easy. Now I don’t have to run all over town to drop off batteries, bulbs, textiles, etc.”
Clear and transparent
“Very good communications and website that keeps me updated on the materials that I should set out, pickup dates, and new programs. In terms of volume, our total recycling is about 3-4 times the amount of our trash.”
Pickup service across the Triangle and Triad
ReCo provides Hard-To-Recycle pickup from Greensboro and Burlington through Durham, Chapel Hill and Carrboro, Cary, Raleigh, Wake Forest, and surrounding communities.
Food scrap pickup is also available in select areas of Durham, Cary, and Raleigh.

ReCo members are making a big impact
More than 1,000 households use The ReCollective. Since September 2022, our members have helped keep hundreds of thousands of pounds of hard-to-recycle materials out of the landfill.
And much more.
Local by design
The ReCollective is locally operated, with no private equity or venture capital backing. That keeps our focus on serving members and supporting waste diversion right here in North Carolina.
