Recycle Metal Bottle Caps

ReCollective Recycles Metal Bottle Caps

The ReCollective Recycles Metal Bottle Caps

Metal bottle caps often go unnoticed in the recycling process, but they can have a big impact. Instead of being discarded, these caps can find new life through creative reuse. Many artists use metal bottle caps to craft unique works of art, turning what would otherwise be waste into something beautiful and inspiring. By collecting and repurposing these small items, we reduce landfill waste and support creativity in our communities.

During designated collection months, metal bottle caps should be placed in your own bag, not the ReCo Pick bag!

Accepted Materials

Included: Metal Bottle Caps: From glass beverage bottles, such as soda, beer, and other drinks. These caps have wavy edges and are typically crimped onto the bottle.

Please collect caps in your own bag (standard grocery-size or smaller) during designated months.

Not Included: Any lids that are not crimped metal bottle caps, such as those from glass jars.

Not sure what to do with lids from salsa, pasta sauce, pickle jars, etc.? Most local municipal programs accept metal ones. Try a magnet test—you might be surprised! For specific guidance, visit your municipality’s website.
