The ReCollective Recycles Holiday Decorations
Give those used Holiday Decorations a new life and reduce waste by sharing them with others in the community. The ReCollective supports creative reuse by working with local organizations to ensure your festive items find new homes and continue to bring joy.
Holiday decorations should be placed in the ReCo Pick Bag during designated months.
Accepted Materials
Holiday and seasonal decorations, including:
- We accept decorations for all holidays!
- Ornaments
- Tabletop decorations
- Wall hangings
- String lights
- Other festive decorations
What is NOT included? We cannot accept broken or sharp items, except for broken string lights.
How does The ReCollective recycle holiday decorations?
Your used holiday decorations are transported to our Durham, NC warehouse, where it is sorted and then distributed to local community organizations. We partner with various organizations to facilitate the reuse and recycling of kitchenware.

At The ReCollective, we recycle holiday decorations across the Triangle, NC, including Durham, Raleigh, Cary, and Chapel Hill, as well as through our Almost Anything Bag Mailback program. We’re dedicated to giving your holiday decorations a second life, whether through reuse or recycling.
Holiday decorations are collected through the ReCo Pick in addition to our other core hard-to-recycle materials that are collected each pickup.
