ReCo recycles and finds reuse for what your curbside recycling can’t take. ReCo Picks are collected in addition to all the other materials we regularly accept.

The ReCollective partners with Triangle Ecycling to Repurpose and Recycle E-Waste. For April pickups, please put Small Electronics in your ReCo Pick Bag.

What is included? All computer and computer-related equipment. All audio, video, and telephone equipment. All electric small appliances. All cords and wires. Everything working or not working condition.

What is NOT included? Tube TVs, Printers, and Monitors. Anything that is sharp or has broken glass. Electronics that don’t fit in the ReCo Bag.

Triangle Ecycling‘s mission is to make Durham smarter, cleaner, and more equitable through technical education internships, computer refurbishing, e-waste recycling (140 tons in 2022!), and donating computers to nonprofits and students in need.

Have you been saving metal bottle caps and wine corks?

For April, The ReCollective has two Bonus Picks, metal bottle caps and wine corks!! Please put the metal bottle caps and corks in your own two separate bags. Do not mix them together in one bag! Bags should be similar or smaller to a grocery store-size bag and can be put inside your black waterproof bag.

What is included? All metal bottle caps. All wine corks (natural and synthetic).

Where is it going? ReCollective works with local artists as well as ReCORK to give these items a new life!

REMINDER: YES, you may Share your bag capacity — Your friends, family, and neighbors can put materials in your ReCo bags. The one exception we do ask of this is Batteries / Lightbulbs since these are the most complex items for our team to manage. Feel free to Share your bag capacity for Plastic Film, Textiles, Styrofoam, ReCo Picks, and more!

So, help your friends ReCollect Small Electronics, Wine Corks, & Metal Bottle Caps too!

Get ready for the upcoming ReCo Picks! ReCo Picks are in addition to all the other materials the ReCollective takes each month

Reminder: the main item goes in your ReCo Pick bag. The Bonus item is typically ‘bring your own bag.’ More information about each upcoming ReCo pick is distributed the month before the pick-up.
