Do you live in an apartment or condominium in Durham, Raleigh, Cary, or Chapel Hill? Whether it’s Hard-To-Recycle materials or Food Scraps, ReCo is here to help you recycle more!

All standard ReCollective services are available for apartments, and if five or more neighbors sign up, ReCo can offer group discounts!

 

Here is how to get started if you live in an apartment or condominium!

      • Ask your property manager! We don’t want you to get in trouble (or get ReCo in trouble)!
      • Determine where materials should be placed for pickup.
      • Sign up and give us specific instructions on where to find your materials on pickup day (e.g., apartment door, community area, garage, etc.) and remember to give us any door codes!

What materials do you pickup from apartments and condos?

ReCo picks up Hard-To-Recycle materials and Food Scraps/Organics.

ReCo does not handle standard recycling like glass, cardboard, and plastics, but we can recommend service providers if you require these services.

How are materials collected from apartments and condos?

For Hard-To-Recycle materials, we provide a standard bag kit. Multiple households may share one kit if desired.

For Food Scraps/Organics, members can use our Purple Bin, or the community may utilize a centralized 35-gallon container that ReCo will pick up and clean weekly.

Does ReCo offer group discounts for apartments and condos?

Yes, performing multiple pickups at the same location saves us time, and we’d like to pass those savings on to you! ReCo offers discounts when five or more neighbors sign up. For more details, please contact help@therecollective.co
