September Brings More Recycling and Better Feedback
September brings a few updates we are super excited about. Our new baler is already helping us recycle Crinkly Packaging by the pallet. Mailback customers can now see what happens after a bag is sent. Those pesky plastic cards are joining ReCo’s material list, and we are ready to bring Community Composting to more neighborhoods.

We are loving our new warehouse baler. By compressing your Crinkly Packaging (chip bags, granola wrappers, coffee bags, and more) into bales, we can process a lot more of it!
In August alone, four pallets left our Durham warehouse for our recycling partner, ByFusion.
Almost Anything Mailback
Now you can see what happens to your bag
Recycling can be tedious and messy, but it shouldn’t be a mystery. Now you can follow your mailback bag’s shipping and processing status, then see your top recycled materials and any items that should not have been included after sorting.
Tracking is available for recently mailed bags and bags sent going forward. Older bags may not have status or sorting feedback available.

Start saving your plastic cards
Those pesky gift cards, hotel key cards, membership cards, library cards, and other accepted plastic cards will be a February bonus ReCo Pick!
Almost Anything Plan members and mailback customers can start recycling approved plastic cards now.
Community Composting
Your neighborhood compost cart is waiting
We have carts ready at our warehouse. All you need is five households and we can launch a shared Community Compost site!
Share one neighborhood cart and compost for a fraction of the cost of doorstep pickup! Memberships start at $13.65/month.

Save accepted pens, markers, office supplies, and art supplies. Place them directly in your ReCo Pick bag for September pickup.

Place each bonus material in its own grocery-sized bag, then put those bags inside your black waterproof bag for pickup.
