Do you have a closet full of those reusable totes and bags that businesses often hand out? ReCo can help! We partner with local retailers and businesses to give these bags a second life where they’re needed most.
During designated collection months, reusable totes and bags should be placed in your own bag, not the ReCo Pick bag!
Accepted Materials
Recycling used reusable totes and bags, including:
- Polyester bags
- Canvas bags
- Cotton bags
Please take one reusable bag and use it to neatly stuff the rest of the bags inside. Then, place this bag beside your black waterproof bag for pickup.
How does The ReCollective recycle reusable totes and bags?
Your used totes are transported to our Durham, NC warehouse, where they are sorted and distributed to local businesses to be repurposed for their customers.
At The ReCollective, we recycle totes across the Triangle, NC, including Durham, Raleigh, Cary, and Chapel Hill, as well as through our Almost Anything Bag Mailback program. We’re dedicated to giving your totes a second life.
Reusable totes and bags are collected through the ReCo Pick in addition to our other core hard-to-recycle materials that are collected each pickup.
