The ReCollective Members Can Recycle Yard Signs
Give your old yard signs a new purpose! We collaborate with community partners to repurpose these signs for various creative uses.
Yard Signs should be placed next to your black waterproof bag for pickup during designated months.
Accepted Materials
What’s included and preparation:
- Plastic #5: corrugated plastic signs (“Coroplast”). These are the typical political candidate signs.
- Separate the corrugated plastic sign from the metal stake
- Signs and metal stakes should be set beside your bag waterproof bag for pickup
- Please keep it to 5 or less signs
What is NOT included? Plastic #2 or #4 signs: Thin, stretchy plastic film signs. Please remove the film and place it in your Plastic Film bag. Corrugated Cardboard: Please place these in your local curbside recycling.
How does The ReCollective recycle yard signs?
Your yard signs are brought back to our Durham, NC warehouse, where they are packaged and then delivered to local organizations for creative reuse.
Our Partners For Yard Signs
Yard Signs are collected through the ReCo Pick in addition to our other core hard-to-recycle materials that are collected each pickup.
