Our service is designed around recurring pickups as a collective. The ReCo team is working hard to try to make this service a lasting and sustainable part of our community with the lowest fees and the highest number of households using the service.
In January, recycling membership fees will be increasing by $.50 per month upon your plan renewal. We had set our initial prices in early 2022, and many of our costs have grown. Operating the service for each household currently costs several dollars more per month than we charge. Our goal continues to be to grow the service in the community, which will reduce our operating costs per member and make a greater impact. This price increase will help us fund spreading the word about the service, employee raises in January and covering existing operational costs.
There are ways to save!
- Switch to the annual plan to save $1.50 per month. Just respond to this message, and we will help you.
- Use our member referral program. We are increasing the referral to Give $10, Get $10 through December. You can use the referral as many times as you like. All you need to do is share the referral link in your member dashboard.
- If the prices pose a financial burden to you, just message us, and we will keep you at the current plan rate.
Summary:
- Monthly plan is increasing from $16.50 to $17.00 per month
- Annual plan is increasing from $15.00 to $15.50 per month, paid annually (upon plan renewal)
- There is no change to the compost add-on price (where available), which is $21/month for 2X monthly pickup and $33/month for weekly pickup.
