July 2024: Books with Bonus 6-Pack Can Holders

Give old books a new chapter! The ReCollective partners with Friends of the Durham Library to repurpose new and used books. Please put Books in your ReCo Pick Bag for July.

-Books with mold, water, smoke, or other damage.

Friends of the Durham Library is an all-volunteer nonprofit that funds programs, services, materials for Durham County Libraries, and scholarships for library staff. The Friends sell donated books, puzzles, and games at Books Among Friends, 3825 South Roxboro Street, Durham, NC 27713. Books Among Friends is open online 24/7, with quarterly in-person sales.
The ReCollective is taking 4 and 6-pack can holders as a bonus material in July. Place them in your own bag inside the black waterproof bag, not the canvas ReCo Pick bag.
What is included? 4 and 6-pack can holders and carriers with closed tops, as shown in the image above. We do not accept those with open tops.
Where is it going? Homebucha in Durham will rescue these holders to distribute their kombucha.
Founded in 2015 on a small farm in the Triangle, Homebucha produces authentic kombucha inspired by the local food scene and community, using traditional methods. Now available in over 50 retailers, Homebucha focuses on sustainability, producing on a small scale with minimal water use. They ethically source ingredients, with many from local farms, and process everything in-house.
