The ReCollective partners with Triangle Ecycling to Repurpose and Recycle E-Waste. Please put Electronics in your ReCo Pick Bag for April.
What is included? All computer and computer-related equipment. All audio, video, and telephone equipment. All electric small appliances. All cords and wires. Everything working or not working condition.
What is NOT included? Tube TVs. Anything that is sharp or has broken glass. Electronics that don’t fit in the ReCo Bag.
Where is it going? We partner with Triangle Ecycling. Triangle Ecycling’s mission is to make Durham smarter, cleaner, and more equitable through technical education internships, computer refurbishing, e-waste recycling (140 tons in 2022!), and donating computers to nonprofits and students in need.
Businesses can call for a pickup, and individuals can drop off computers and other electronics at their Durham location. All data on hard drives is guaranteed to be destroyed.
Local businesses and individuals can purchase like-new refurbished computers at discount prices on eBay and the Triangle VIP Store. Buyers can select local pickup at either site and save on shipping.
The ReCollective is taking Wine Corks as a BONUS pick in April. Please put your Wine Corks in your own bag and set it beside your waterproof bag. Do not put the Corks in your ReCo Pick bag.
What is included? All wine corks. Both natural cork and synthetic. Please sort the natural cork and synthetic into separate bags.
What is NOT included? Bottle caps and anything that is not a wine cork.
Where is it going? The ReCollective works with local artists as well as ReCORK to give the corks a new life!
