Specialty Recycling Add-Ons
Need more room or have a material that requires special handling? ReCollective pickup members can add extra capacity and specialty recycling services to an upcoming pickup.
Add only what you need
Most ReCollective materials are included with your regular service. Add-Ons cover materials that require a separate bag, additional capacity, extra handling, or added downstream recycling costs.
Order through the Shop in your Member Dashboard, then follow the preparation instructions for the Add-On you select.
#1 and #5 plastic recycling
These plastics use their own ReCollective bags so they stay separate from your other material streams.
#1 PET Clamshells
$5 each or 5 bags for $20Clear #1 PET or PETE clamshell containers used for produce, salads, herbs, deli items, and similar packaging.

- Clear clamshell-style containers marked #1, PET, or PETE
- Produce, berry, salad, herb, deli, and similar clamshells
- Rigid #1 PET lids
Check your local curbside rules first because some municipalities accept these containers.
Where does it go?
ReCollective works with Orange Recycling Services and other recycling outlets to move accepted PET into established recycling markets.
#5 Polypropylene Plastic
$5 each or 5 bags for $20Rigid #5 polypropylene containers and lids such as yogurt tubs, takeout containers, disposable cups, and empty pill bottles marked #5.

- Rigid containers clearly marked with recycling symbol #5 or PP
- Tubs, cups, takeout containers, and #5 lids
- Empty prescription and over-the-counter pill bottles marked #5
Keep #5 plastic separate from the blue #1 bag and from plastic film or crinkly packaging.
Where does it go?
ReCollective works with Orange Recycling Services to sort and prepare collected #5 polypropylene for recycling markets.
Extra capacity
Add a larger bring-your-own bag when you have more of an accepted material than your regular ReCollective bag can hold.
Plastic Film, Textiles or styrofoam

Crinkly Packaging

Bulbs and electronics with added fees
These items require additional handling, transportation, or downstream recycling fees.
Fluorescent Tubes
$4 per tube · Up to 4 feetIntact fluorescent tubes can be added to a scheduled pickup and placed beside your black ReCo bag.
What is accepted?
- Intact fluorescent tubes measuring 4 feet or less
- Tubes handled carefully to prevent breakage
Not accepted: broken fluorescent tubes.
Where does it go?
Batteries Plus works with recycling facilities that recover glass, metal, and other reusable components from fluorescent bulbs.
Printers & Monitors
$15 per itemHousehold-size printers and qualifying flat-screen monitors that require additional transportation and electronics recycling fees.
What is accepted?
- Household printers
- Flat-screen monitors measuring 24 inches or less
Not accepted: CRT tube monitors, monitors larger than 24 inches, or office-size printers and copiers.
Where does it go?
Triangle Ecycling processes printers and monitors collected through this service.

ReCollective OneStop
With OneStop, food scraps are collected at every pickup while your hard-to-recycle materials continue on their regular schedule.
Specialty Add-Ons are occasional or material-specific extras. OneStop is an ongoing service upgrade.
OneStop is available in most, but not all, of the ReCollective service area.
