Please ensure all CDs and DVDs are in working condition and in their respective cases. We cannot accept loose discs without a case or blank discs with cases. \nWhere is it going? The ReCollective partners with local non-profits to reuse CDs & DVDs in the community. \n \nThe ReCollective is taking clean loose or packaged Baby Diapers as a bonus pick in August. Please put the Diapers in your own bag and place it inside your larger black waterproof bag. Do not put the Diapers in the canvas ReCo Pick bag. \nWhat is included? New and clean loose baby diapers/pull-ups\, new packaged baby diapers/pull-ups\, and all sizes. \nWhere is it going? The ReCollective is partnering with the Diaper Bank of North Carolina. \nThe Diaper Bank of North Carolina’s mission is to ensure families in poverty with babies and children have enough diapers with the aim to create a diaper distribution model that can be adopted and shared by all counties in the state. The Diaper Bank has distributed over 23 million diapers state-wide with branches in the Triangle\, the Greater Triad\, and Lower Cape Fear Region. \n \nREMINDER: YES\, you may Share your bag capacity — Your friends\, family\, and neighbors can put materials in your ReCo bags. The one exception we do ask of this is Batteries / Lightbulbs since these are the most complex items for our team to manage. DESCRIPTION:Give old books a new chapter! The ReCollective partners with Friends of the Durham Library to repurpose new and used books. Please put Books in your ReCo Pick Bag for July. \n✅ What is included?\n-New books\n-Used books in acceptable or better condition\n-Hard cover\n-Soft cover \n❌ What is NOT included?\n-Books without intact covers and bindings.\n-Books with mold\, water\, smoke\, or other damage.\n-Encyclopedias\n-Magazines or other periodicals \nFriends of the Durham Library is an all-volunteer nonprofit that funds programs\, services\, materials for Durham County Libraries\, and scholarships for library staff. The Friends sell donated books\, puzzles\, and games at Books Among Friends\, 3825 South Roxboro Street\, Durham\, NC 27713. Books Among Friends is open online 24/7\, with quarterly in-person sales. \n \nThe ReCollective is taking 4 and 6-pack can holders as a bonus material in July. Place them in your own bag inside the black waterproof bag\, not the canvas ReCo Pick bag. \nWhat is included? 4 and 6-pack can holders and carriers with closed tops\, as shown in the image above. We do not accept those with open tops. \nWhere is it going? Homebucha in Durham will rescue these holders to distribute their kombucha. \nFounded in 2015 on a small farm in the Triangle\, Homebucha produces authentic kombucha inspired by the local food scene and community\, using traditional methods. Now available in over 50 retailers\, Homebucha focuses on sustainability\, producing on a small scale with minimal water use. They ethically source ingredients\, with many from local farms\, and process everything in-house.

Unopened Utensils and Cutlery (i.e.\, still in the plastic wrap or box)\, including Silverware Sets\, Spoons\, Forks\, Knives\, Napkins\, and Utensils made of Plastic\, Wood\, or Compostable Materials. \nThe ReCollective is taking jewelry as a BONUS pick in June. Please put the jewelry in your own bag and set it beside your waterproof bag. Do not put the jewelry in your ReCo Pick bag. What is included? Necklaces\, pendants\, bracelets\, brooches\, and earrings – this includes costume jewelry and precious metals! Yes\, even broken jewelry and solo earrings! What is NOT included? Please do not place loose beads\, gems\, clasps\, or anything sharp in your ReCo pick bag. Jewelry can be worn and/or broken but not unsalvageable. Where is it going? We partner with community organizations and The Scrap Exchange to give the jewelry a new life. Repurposing jewelry involves transforming existing pieces into entirely different creations. You can upcycle old pieces by combining them or altering them to make something completely new!

All standard household tools like hammers\, screwdrivers\, wrenches\, pliers\, tape measures\, levels\, allen wrench sets\, rules/square\, socket sets\, stud finders\, flashlights\, drills/bits\, and safety glasses. \nWhat is NOT included? Broken tools\, anything sharp\, or anything that doesn’t fit in the ReCo bag. \n  \nThe ReCollective is taking Plant Pots as a BONUS pick in May. Please stack your plant pots and set them beside your waterproof bag. Do not put the Plant Pots in your ReCo Pick bag or black bag. \nWhat is included? What is included? All kinds of pots for plants\, including plastic\, ceramic\, woven\, wood\, or metal. We will even take those cheap plastic ones you get from the garden center. \nWhat is NOT included? Seed starter trays or cells. Anything that is not a single pot\, such as a 4 or 6-pack of seed starter cells or plants. \nWhere is it going? We partner with local garden centers to help new plants GROW! \nTo ensure we have enough space in the van and that our partners can handle the volume of pots\, please keep the total to\, at most\, two stacks that are two feet high.
